The Secret Life of a Lady was great fun and a lighthearted read. The story sucked me in pretty quick and I found myself having it read in no time.
I love a good historical mystery romance so this book ticked a lot of boxes for me. I love that Lady Hannah is right, front and centre of the action, tasked with a mission by the queen herself.
She builds a relationship with Robert Killian, the Duke who is also a private investigator and finds Hannah irresistible. Things develop very quickly between them, leading to quite a steamy read that sometimes overshadows the mystery.
The story is fast-paced with interesting side characters who will hopefully get their own books. I'm looking forward to reading more of Drake in particular.
